Hi everyone,
Just bought an 97 SL550. I was cleaning the carpet with the passenger seat forward. It is stuck in place and won't return to the rear of the car. I have checked the fuses, disconnected the battery. Is there anything else I should check before taking it to the dealer on Tuesday?

make sure the backrest is fullly in postion ( locked) , all the way locked into place. move it forward, then pull the lever to make it go back and make sure it locks into place. then try the seat switch again.

 

Thanks much, I used the door switches and it moved back to the memorized position. The switch on the top of the seat may have a glitch. Thanks for the suggestion. Happy Memorial Day! Just noticed it said the car is a "97" it's an 2007.
