Owner 2000 -ML320
 

Any sugge stions please! I purchased this magnificent vehicle 1 year ago knowing that the large sunroof did not work. The owner agreed to have it repaired- but 1 year later this is not so. The poor owner has been told the only thing to do is replace it with a new one $17.000. I read on your forum that another owner advised their sunroof opened slightly with a loud grating noise and then died. My sunroof does not work at all, leaks and has destroyed the interior light and headlining in interior rear.
The Merc.workshop now says it is my problem and recently charged $300 just to try to shut it properly and that made it worse - particulary with current wet weather.
So I have been set adrift by a Mercedes Garage with a car I cant sell because the roof leaks, drives like I am in a wind tunnel with whistling winds to accompany me, wet inside, cannot go through a car wash cos last time had a bucket load of water drench me (really looked funny)but still the most frustrating time ever. Does anyone out there know how to fix a sunroof that has had two motors put in, cables and still doesnt work but leaks water very well. Thanks

is it the panoramic roof that opens up the whole legth of the roof? those are very troublesome. i would have said to stay away from that!
