OH yeah, Garage door opener!!
My 1993 400E has a built in garage door opener. Not mentioned in the handbook - How do I program it?
Looks like original equipment but must be an option i guess. |
RE: OH yeah, Garage door opener!!
on the rear-view mirror? 3 buttons?

RE: OH yeah, Garage door opener!!
Above the rearview mirror - 5 buttons from left to right " SEND M1 M2 D END" then there is a glass panel, looks like an infared receiver?? I'm guessing it will read my existing door opener control but I don't know how!

RE: OH yeah, Garage door opener!!
sleepwalker or some other guru should answer this question as i am not familiar with that 5-button configuration.
my car has 3 buttons for 3 garage doors. no send or end buttons. the buttons are programmed like a radio station memory on your car radio. to program one particular button to one particular station currently on air, you just hold on to it for 3 second. it beeps to acknowledge the programming and then you can let go. that's it. so....when i wanted to program my car's built-in garage door opener, i let my real garage door opener transmit like a radio station (i kept pressing the button on it). then i pressed on the button1 (or 2 or 3 in your case) on the rear-view morrir until that bitch screamed. then i knew she was happy and finished. the programming is done that way on my c280. |
RE: OH yeah, Garage door opener!!
That's the controls for an MB phone, 2 memories and directory. No garage openers in '93.
