Hey guys, my brother has an 2003 e500 with 57500 miles on it, just was at the dealer two weeks back for maintance. today i went to take it for a spin and the heat wasnt coming out. the heat is set at high and for about half and hour the heat doesnt come on only the a/c, even as i turn the ac switch off its still blows cold are. what can be the prob

Switch over valve by fire wall.

 

heat exchanger shutoff motor.

they becomes corroded/faulty much easy.

remove the wiper assembly to access it.

 

hey your fan is gone, it's located behind the fire wall, i have a 190e and the same thing happen, but also check your fuses

 

hay buddy, im pretty sure that your 190 dosent have much in common with an e500, there should be a little dial on the center vents that control cold air to the vents, its a mixing control not the air volume control, it controls cold air input to the air stream for what reason i dont know, it scrolls from hot to cold to auto
