Hey Tony,

I too am new to the forum and had a question. I have a 99 E430 and the Check Engine Light came on. I had the sensors read and it came up as Bank 1 Sensor 2. The response was that it was most likely a bad Oxygen Sensor. Any thoughts?

Hello Tony I am i need of help. my 99 c-230 has transmission problem. when i first start car it will drive for about 100 feet then it will slip to neutral. when i shut the car off and restart the car drives again, tried all gears reverse, 1st 2nd all work fine for a bit then slip back to neutral. first happend to my wife when on highway she was going about 75 mph then car slipped to neutral (while shifter was still in D) she nervously got on to shoulder of highway later towed. car also makes whing noise. scanned with scanner from autozone and got code p0700,p0440and p0170 erased all. please help i suspect something electrical.

Greetings. I have a 1983 380 SEL which is not starting.Something isclicking loudly when its being started and the engine turns but not all the way over. Just a little background, I parked it just before the winter due to an oil leak which I tried to patch with a stop leak product and after that seemed to have made it worse. Other than the oil leak it ran ok, maybe a little high. It then needed to have the battery chargedto start, but would not start again whether charged or not.So I thought it was the battery, whichdid test bad. But it still won't start. I'm thinking the starter? But what do I know. Please help.

Hi Tony,

I have a 99 E320 at 77,000 miles. It has a slight miss at idle only. I mistakenly place 97 octange gas in the tank and since then the check engine light comes on and then off when I fill it back up with 93 octane. It still has a slight miss at idle. You think the egr valve is shot now?

Also, when is a wire-spark plug tune-up due? Does the transmission oil need to be changed?

Thanks Tony
