Hello everybody. If i sound stupid, please forgive me because I am no car expert, I just know how to drive one. Anyways, I have a 1999 C280. Yesterday, MY car messed up on me. Whenever I put it into gear (drive), it does nothing. All it does when I push gas is Rev the engine. This also happens when I put it into reverse or any gear for that matter. Thing is, when I push the gas enough, to about 4000 RPMS, it seems to pop or slip into gear. Is my tranny hella messed up? could it be transmission oil, if so, how do i go about fixing that. I called mercedes and they say it could be the Valve Body. if my tranny is blown (is it?), which i hope its not, how much will it run to get my car driveable again?? Please let me know the best thing I can do for my car, for it's my only car, and cannot afford another car.

 

is there an independant shop near you? if so go to them. stay away from the deale if possible.
