Default my new 2008 mercedes c300 sport

We just bought our first mercedes last week...2008 c300 sport...after driving it on the freeways in and around Los Angeles my husband feels that the car sways back and forth. and that the steering wheel is all over the place. The car feels like it doesn't have any shocks and we're bouncing all over the place. He wants to return the car to the dealer and possibly take a huge hit on the return amount that the dealer is willing to give us. The car only has 350 miles and the dealer only wants to give us 31,000 for a car that we paid 36,600. last Wed. Anyway...was wondering...why should we be bouncing around all over the road...and whyd doesn't the steering wheel return after making a turn and why should the car feel like a boat when driving it on the highway? Do you think that there is something wrong with the car...I'd hate to lose so much money if there is a real problem that can be remedied.

laurie, take the car back to the dealer and politely ask them to check the wheel alignment for free. What you are describing is not the characteristic of a MB especially a brand new one. As a matter of fact suspension ride and handling is one of their strong points against other makes.
Somebody might have hit a pot hole in the road while moving it. Let us know how this turns out.

Check to make sure the ESP (Electronic Stability Program ) is not turned off. THis will make the car feel unstable if turned off. Keep in mind also a sport tunes suspension will feel like a go-kart so if the road is rough you will get more feedback then usual.

I say you should take it to the dealer have them fix it. If they are not able to fix it after 4 times of trying' dealer is responsible to buy it back under the LEMON LAW. All they would charge you is the miles you used the car for before theyouvisited the dealer with the problem the first time.
