Can anyone advise please if you have experienced any problems with ignition / steering lock problems with your Mercs, I have a 180C Elegance 4 door saloon reg in 1995/6 which has just started to have problems when I go to start the car up, sometimes the ignition key wont turn at all, I half suspect it may be a link to the central locking, but my locl Merc dealer say's not although other people (mechanics) say it could be the case, sometimes when I lock &amp; unlock the doors then try the ignition it works, other times it dont.</P>


It it annoying and preventing me from enjoying driving my Merc without fear of being stranded somewhere should the key not turn the engine over. Has anyone else experienced this problem &amp; if so how did you resolve it..</P>
