Default Loose steering on 83 240D

Just picked up a 83 240D. The steering is loose. Checked everything under the car and it's all tight. Seems to be in the steering box. Anyone have any suggestions? I know I can buy a rebuilt box, but trying not to do that if possible. Is there a company that makes a rebuild kit for these boxes? Thanks guys

Beware, adjusting it too far can cause it to bind when the steering is turned hard towards the end of travel.
Thanks. My son tried to adjust it when we did the service on it. He turned it in, which would be clock wisel, which made it worst. I just adjusted it myself yesterday to see if going the other way would do anything and it seem to make it better. You just confirmed that. I have to take it out to drive it to make sure it does not bind, but it is alot better just sitting still. Do you think the power steering would benefit from a filter and fulid change? Again thanks
