Lamp Malfunction
I recently purchased a 2000 CLK320 and there is a lamp malfunction error that pops up whenever I apply the brake. I took it to get inspected and the mech. told me that the rear driver side turn signal was blinking on the lower part of the light housing where the brake lights are supposed to light upand it should be blinking on the top, clear part of the housing. i am thinking maybe the wires are just crossed. Has anyone had this happen before? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

RE: Lamp Malfunction
nothing to worry about its a substiute light is on, when you have a bulb failure the substiute light works its a clever merc, replce the bliker light bulb and malfunction will reset..............

RE: Lamp Malfunction
Thanks, come to find out when I took a look at it myself, the wiring harness that fits into the light housung was not seated all the way. I popped it all the way in and guess what, the light now works properly and the malfunction cleared. Good thing for that military troubleshooting skills. Thanks
