Hi took my 06 SL350 to mercedes dealer to sort the key fob out after 2 days they said they needed to contact mercedes.Two weeks later they say they cant give me a price because they have to take the dashboard off and find the problem Are they just trying too fob me off. All these diagnostic equipment should pinpoint this problem so i could have a rough price Has this problem happenned to anybody else THANKS

 

I had the same problem on a 2009 model C300 and it cost me 220.00 for a new key fob!! My car was 2000 miles past warranty and they still charged me $220!! I am still pissed about this and it's enough to make me buy any other car but a Mercedes. A key that goes bad after two years is unacceptable.
