Internal Heating
 

Hello,
I have now owned my C-Class 200 Komp for a year and have been disappointed with one thing only. The heating system takes ages to produce any comfortable temperature.
The car has heated seats thankfully but depending upon these is not sensible.
Here in England we have had temperatures around -10 over the last few weeks and even when it's been around + 5...10 C it still takes ages to produce any heat.
I have the climate control set to auto (manual doesn't produce heat for ages either) and I have concluded it only diverts heat to the internal system when the engine is really hot.
Whilst oen would expect an engine to have to warm up before providing heat internally I have had other makes of car and they have all been miles better than my merc.
I have also had it in the garage becasue I originally couldn't believe the heatign system was working properly.
We have to wear coats in the car for at least 30 minutes befreo anything is felt.
Just wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences.
My view is that of all the cars I've driven (Ford, Nissan, Vauxhall, etc) this is far and away the worst performer for internal heating. As I mentioned if it wasn't for the heated seats I would have sold it on alerady

try and replace the pollen(cabin)filters.these often get forgotten about and restrict the air flow into the car.
