Hello;

I own a 1983 300SD that is in great condition. Just a few days ago I have a strange occurrence. When I open the driver's door, the stationary light on the same side come on. I close the door and the light goes off. It's the same light which is normally used for signalling, only it's solid and doesn't blink.

I noticed the light also comes on when I insert my ignition key. I checked wires but can't find anything wrong and fuses all seem to be ok too.

I am not a mechanic. Any suggestions?
