Im new and have a question?
 

I really like the old 300 SD cars and I am thinking of buying one this week. I drove the car and it seems to be OK. It has 214k miles on it with new paint, transmission, wheels, and fitted over to 134 air. I was wondering what to look for as the owner says it was his Sunday car and he does not need it anymore. He is an older guy that claims he changed oil evry 3000 and the car was his baby. He has had this car 5 years and I guess all this stuff above has been done during this time. It is real nice but I have never drove one before and when the trans shifted I was suprised. It felt like my old Chevelle with a shift kit in it. Does this sound right. Thanks a lot

Make sure compression is good in the diesel -if a ring is burnt a lot of people try to get rid of instead of the fix -many dollars. Make sure the servo works -climate control as this is a weak spot. Also, read forums devoted to 116 model www.w116.org to start
