the sliding roof on my '84 500sel is dented as a result of the hood flying up at 60mph or so. My problem is this: There are detailed instructionsin every shop manual showing what a piece of cake it is to remove a nice straight sunroof. I need to remove one that doesn't move. In retrospect, I guess it would have been a good time to remove the headliner while the guy was replacing the windshield, huh. Still, the panel has to move to get to the screws. Should I cut it down the middle? I'm sure this is routine stuff to many of you . Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks
