How to Check a Fan Clutch
 

I just got this hint about how to check a fan clutch. Get the car up to temp. Get an old radiator hose or something else soft that won't get caught up...I used a rolled up towel. While at idle carefully touch the rolled up towel or radiator hose to the fan. If it is easily stopped, your clutch is bad. MAKE sure the vehicle is at running temp. That's when the clutch works. Mine stopped when I barely touched it. Guess I'll be buying a new fan clutch.
