HELP!!2000 G500 Transmission stuck in 1st
 

Hello:

I just purchased this 2000 G500. Drove 736 miles with no issues and now it will not shift out of 1st gear. When I bought it it had the following codes stored P1400, P1420 and P1453. After completing the first uneventful 700+ miles, the problems started. First it would not shift out of first gear (I would pull over turn it off and it would work again), then it just died (as if out of gas). When I pulled over, the motor would cycle fine but not catch, everything else worked as well. After about 45 minutes it would start right up. I took it to get checked out and pulled the following codes P0720 and P2078. They then said the crank shaft sensor was bad. I replaced it and as a preventative also replaced the K40 relay. All codes where cleared. Today I drove 110 highway miles thinking all was well. At the end of my journey I made a quick stop. I started up and noticed the check engine light on. I then discovered it would not shift out of first gear. So the last mile home was at 19 mph. I have not yet taken it to have the code checked.
