Need help with transmission interchange
 

Greetings...
Hope someone can help me with the possible interchanges for the transmission in a 1982 Mercedes 300D automatic (with mechanical speedometer). Can't find an 82 Mercedes transmission locally and my interchange books only cover the American models. What other years, makes, and models will interchange. Thanks for your time and any help is appreciated.
