Hardtop hoist VS Hardtop Cart
 

I have a 1987 560SL and was looking for a hardtop hoist. I called a couple companies and they don't suggest leaving top on hoist for a long time as it does a number on the weatherstripping. Now I'm looking at a cart to put it on. Has anyone found a good quality cart?? Thanks for any help.

I have one that I bought off e bay for about 130 bucks its just basically a welded frame
that I glued carpet strips too to avoid scratches when I put the top on or off.
has wheels and its easy to move.

Do you remember where on ebay you bought the cart. I'm thinking of just getting a cart. I talked to a few companies that sell lifts and they don't recommend leaving hard-top in the air because it can ruin the weatherstripping. Thanks for your reply

Go to e bay and in the search button type 560sl cart
there are some on there , the only only thing I noticed thats differt is the wheels appear to be a bit small, you might want to replace them with caster wheels from your local hardware store
mine came with 21/2 caster swivel wheels and its easy to push around
other then that the ones shown appear to be the same
