GLK-350 air vents

I have a new GLK-350. I'm having a problems with the air vents. When I select any section but "panel" a small amount of air still comes out of the drivers left panel and the passengers right vent, center vents close. Warm air is not bad but when cold air blows on your knuckles for awhile its annoying. When I took it to the dealer they informed me to manually closes those vents. Not what I was expecting. Now this solution does work but I don't believe that I paid the money I did to have to manually closes vents to get the air to travel to the right place. In every car I ever owned, and I have owned cheap ones, when you select an air location, it went there. I may have heard vents closing and some motors turning, but the air went where i selected it to go. I never had to manually close a vent if I did not want it to come out there. I believe my dealer is wrong, or lazy. But who do I turn to? Mercedes dealers are scarce. How do I contact a Mercedes tech?

Try an independent Mercedes mechanic, tell them your issue and your point of view. This doesn't seem like a big problem but I think the air is distributed to where you select while still giving a small amount to the unselected areas, for example when you have selected the air to come from the vents facing you, there is still a small amount being blown down the leg vents.
