I have a 2003 C240 and an OTC Genisys Scan Tool, but I don't have the European manufacturers support software. As is, in Global OBD-II mode I can get the standard PXXXX codes from the car. I don't know what it does for the manufacturer specific P codes, and I believe that it won't get codes from most of the other systems. I was wondering if it would be worth upgrading the tool with the European manufacturers support.

In particular, the manufacturer of the tool says that the European application covers engine, transmission, ABS, air-bag, and "most" body and chassis systems.

Does anyone know, for sure, if it can pull codes (which I think I have) from the climate control system.

How about any of the resets that are supposed to be done after changing components (alldatadiy.com says that when changing the crankshaft position sensor, that there is a reset that is supposed to be done).
