Fault codes ?? Help me please
I have a slk 1999 but its stuck in 2nd gear ?? i guess this is safe mode lipm mode,,[:@]I have read the fault codes and can not find the problems??
Fault codes as follows P0758:eek: P0763:eek: P0743:eek: P0753:eek: I have checked the gear box gasket no leaks checked fuses and relpaced kick down solenoid All so i have a fault code with abs that is C1401 feedback valve stuck or no connection?? Please help i have tryed every think even changed the asr module but nope no diffrence + i ve chnaged the speed sencors front left and right helllllllllpppppppppppp:( need the MB doctor please |

you mean kickdown switch? your's got no kickdown solenoid. it is 722.605 transmission.
the ABS valve stuck...the fuse was busted? what was the corresponding of those P faults that you got? got power supply on the transmission control module? two connectors on it, 1 connector got 3 wires and 1 wire must have power (maybe red or red/black). |

Hi sleepwalker many thanks for getting back to me i hoped you would. The car runs fine
but only in second gear and reverse it slams into get tho with a jult , What is the location of the valve ?? the abs pump one?? C1401 fault i have checked th K40 relays and all the fuses can you give me location of the wires i need to test as there are so many. My vin number is WDB1704472F116347 What els can it be ive checked the ground wire on the abs and its been cleaned and tightend,, The codes P0758 P0763 P0743 P0753 Are A & B + clutch codes ,solenid codes from the transsmision box the car only has 27 k.. then you better fix the transmission problem first.
no power to the valves means that the ETC control module doesn't supply power to the valves. all switching are done by negative signal. so check that power supply to the ETC first. you cannot drive the car on 2nd gear all the time. just go to the ETC control module, switch on ignition, check power to input, then the output connector. the output connector shoould have 12 volts too and not 5 volts! or you can just directly check the input power to the electrohydraulic valves by turning on the ignition, go under the car and unplug the transmission connector, and check if there is 1 live (12 volts) feed on it. |

look for 3 wires and one of them should be black and red or red correct? 12 v ..Where does it get its power from?? The enging module next to the ecu???? Regards |

Ok thats great im going to have a look and see what i can find today, Will post results
i have opend the tranny control unit and can not see anythink wrong there no burns or bad connections so im going to check the fuses again one by one and i will change my ASR unit to see if i can clear the ABS fault code , I have a spare lol.../ Regards |

Ok update **** hot, I read the codes out of the tranny and it come up with loads i cleard them and then read
the ME and cleard them and bang the car works and changes gear got home and read the codes again. No fault codes in the ME or in The tranny job done !!! But i still have the ASB lights and BAS light with the CAN error C1025 but i know most do this and its nothing to worry about , But the C1401 feedback on the abs is now the problem where is the feedback valuve located for this i have checked MB wis and can not find the code or the feedback valve any ideas, If i floor it ,It goes into safe mode with little exceleration so close now ,,, WHAT IS THIS FAULT CODE C1401 please help me as i have no idea checked the fuses and every think els????? Come on sleepwalker your the tech head of the board lets get this job done,,,,, |
