Extended Service Plan for 2004 C240
The original 4-Year/50,000 Mi. warranty has expired on the 2004 C240 which I have just acquired. The vehicle has an odometer reading of just over 34,000 miles. The seller (a non-Mercedes dealership) has offered me a 3-Year ESP, with a $100 dedectible, through Ford at a cost of $1,985.Coverage does not include routine Mercedes A or B service. Is this a prudent investment?

good if it covers all that's same as dealer's warranty.
they always got fine lines, and difficult to get a claim. |

If it wasn't expired I could give you phone # to get it directly from Daimler and would cost you much less with 0 deductible!!!

I am a little gunshy on after market, the best is thru the manufacturer, and supported by the manufacturer. I dont think Ford offers a policy (it could be some other service)and what would you have to do to get it serviced by MB. I would face the fact it is insurance, put the money in the bank.
