Engine Shuts down after 10 min running
 

Hi, purchased 98 C280 sport last year, it had an alpine cassette deck, i replaced with a JVC CD PLayer by reconnecting with the wires that were used in the old deck. The original plugs were still there but some wires cut off the plugs to join the deck.
After reading some of the posts would there be an issue with security and starting.
i put the car up for the winter for 4 months disconnected the battery and hooked up a trickle charger. In april hooked battery back up and now have the acr runs for about 10 min and shuts down. sometimes it will start up agaiin, other times have to wait for half an hour and then it will start. I've changed fuel filter since and checked fuel pressure its running at 54 PSI. There are no OBD codes.
Anybody have suggestions.

search the various MB forums and boards for "CPS" or "crankcase position sensor" and see if the ailments are similar to yours. sounds like it's close. if so, and the cause is CPS, the replacement can be minutes and $150.
