I hope you don't mind me digging up this old thread... but I am having this exact problem! And Mercedes, is telling me there are two different types of plugs, I tried to pull up the CPS pictures but somehow the link is broken, any suggestions on where to look for this sensor? And determine the plug type?

Replacing the sensor was easy, the only thing was the torx socket I needed for the job... E8 I think is what I ended up using, that would have helped to know that, so it seems some have a "inny" and some have an "outty" mine was the latter...

The pictures in the previous post helped very much!
