E240 Elegance 2000 model transmission fluid VS engine oil
The automatic transmission fluid needed topping up so I bought the right fluid and asked a local service centre to please just top up. I keep one pint of normal engine oil in the car as well. I believe he used the engine oil to top up instead of the brand new bottle of transmission fluid, which is still sealed!!! Is this a problem? What do I do? I baby my car and she's in great condition, only 370,000 on the clock. Some say it's not a problem, others say it's serious!!! Please help, before I run into a serious issue.
