Doors do'nt latch 85 300 SD

My doors do'nt latch unless slammed.i would like to remove the striker plate on the pillar held on by 4 (5)mm allen head screws. My problem is the screws strip pretty easy and the screw does not budge.I tried heat and air gun with no luck.Does any one know agood method to get these lose. The onesI did get lose showed no signs of rust?

I had to drill out some of mine and use a screw remover. No rust on mine either.

I adjusted the door on my SEC and could not get one out I drilled the head the body of the screw came right out. They must use an impact wrench, anyway go to the dealer and get a couple, so you dont have to chase around. The dealer had them.

Thanks for the replys after breaking one 5 mm allen wrench and then trying with a socket allen wrench on an air impact gun which only rounded 2 out I drill in a bit so the allen wrench all the way in and then put heat on with a small plumbers torch and then with tapping on the allen wrench and steady pressure they finally came out.I have to believe there was a metal reaction between 2 differant metals which froze the screws in there as they had no rust what so ever.I did fix my old striker plates by building them up in a certain area but in my spare time will look for some good used ones as $90 for 2 new ones is out of the question. Thanks for letting me know the stealer has new ones if I ca'nt find them anywhere else I will have to pay him a visit.I did put some antiseize on them so they come out easier next time.Patience was the key.
