Hi all,

I have an 83 240D, and I am curious what the yellow light with little broken lines next to the battery light is. It comes on and off when driving. Is that a low oil light? I have checked the oil and the level is fine for where it should be. I also have a small leak under the engine. It could be a fuel line, or the oil pan. Oil pressure is at 3 when driving. The engine temp is at 80 degrees Celsius.

If anyone knows a good MB mechanic in S Florida or a club, I would appreciate it very much.

That light is telling you the front brake pads are worn to the safe maximum. Replace front pads and wear sensors at the same time. Also measure front brake rotor thickness. Usually rotors wear out after 3 to 4 front pad replacements.
