Cruise control will not engage over 65 mph on 95 E320
 

Can any one tell me what the problem may be with the cruise control on my 1995 E320 . The cruise will set and hold from the low 60's MPH and below, but at speeds higher then that it will not work. It trys to set at higher speeds but then it just doesnt hold, it only trys for like one second then its like the cruise control is turned off. But at lower speeds it works perfectly. Does any one know what the cause may be?

make sure all tires are the same size and type

I just noticed they are two differant sizes, 60 and 65.

That will cause it to kick out, wheels are turning at different speeds. When you get certain point electronic accelerator picks up too great a difference and think you have wheel spin or traction loss and turns off the cruise.

Yep, I replaced the one off size tire, and now that all 4 tires are the same size the cruise control works.
