Compression Pressure
 

Does anybody know the normal cylinder compression pressure for an R129 5.0L V8 in psi?

tolerance when new: 13.5 to 15.5 bar.

limit value is: 8.5 bar

permissible difference between individual cylinders: 1.5 bar

now, just convert it to PSI. maybe about roughly 14.5 psi to 1 bar.

I presume limit value of 8.5 Bar is lowest value permissible otherwise an overhaul is required? My 1994 R129 is reading 12 bar - is that normal?

very normal and ideal. for as long as the deviation from one cylinder to another is not too far.
