Yes, There is a black cover around the Engine &amp; spark plugs, there is a number on it,MB logo at the end. are you asking about the same or any other valve cover? </P>

Hey what I know in general is that 300 is much much better than 260 engine </P>

 

ok in 91 the only difference was the camshaft and the 300 had alittle bit longer stroke, other than that they are identical same block, same head 300 had alittle bit more h.p but not much the 103 engine (which is what you have) is nearly bullet proof, except for the occational headgasket replacement. I have seen them with 300,000 miles on them and still running strong. I my mind the 103 engine nand 104 engine inline 6 cyl. are m.b's mostdurable engine made.</P>

Most of the friends say 300 is most common &amp; widely sold. I came to know that 260 is had a short production span (6 years). Since you are all guys having more knowledge on each model I was finding the differences.<o></o></SPAN></P>
