Unhappy Climate Control Problem

Hi Guys
I have a problem with my Climate control for about a month now. I have a CLK 230, when i start my car and turn on the heating. I can hear the blower come on for a couple seconds then dies out completely. Then the fan sounds like it's struggling to spin eventually grounding to a halt. Sometimes it comes back on and very strong but then dies after a while. The rest button does not come on at all now. Have any of you experienced this problem, what do you think it is?
I took the cover off below the glove compartment and i don't know what i touched it but the heating came back on full blast for a couple hours before cutting out again....Any ideas?

sounds like the blower regulator that is mounted with the blower motor. pull off the cover under the dash and the cover for the blower motor and the regulator is there. silver rectangle. those commonly go bad. but blower motors do go bad to but usually its the regulator.

Smile Thanks chassis

I took out the blower motor and cleaned it up, air blasted all the carbon residue and sanded down rotor arm as it was scored pretty bad. Fan works fine now so i just need to change the regulator as i can still hear the struggle in the voltage changes controlling the speed of the fan.

Have you huys checked out some of the aftermarket blower regulators, they deliver roughly 30% more fan speed.
I errored they are only available for the 210 and 140 chassis, sorry.
