A class injector blowing?
 

My A class 170 dci had arythmic ticking like a tappet noise however this is now accompanied byfumes blowing into the car. So after1 hour of funremoving all of the air inlet plasticsI was confronted by a mass of carbon around theright hand injector area. As I cannot run the car to see exactly where the blowing is coming from with all the air inlet plastics removed I wanted to just change out the injoctor as this is the most likely cause.

Isthe injector held in by what looks like a holdingbar that straddles the 2 right hand injectors and holds the pair in?

I am waiting on a manual from Russek but want to get on as it may take a whilefor that to arrive
