Check engine code p730

Check engine code p730
I just purchased a 1998 C230 on line, and I picked it up in Miami today.
I was not told there was a check engine issue, and it appears as p730, which seems to be the transmission. The car drives and shifts fine, but when ideling, there is a rattling noise like a bad water pump bearing.
Has anyone any suggestions with regard to this code?
