changing rotors and pads on a 2002 c230 coupe

Can anyone help with info on changing rotors and pads on my c230 coupe,failed state inspectionlast week.I need to replace airfiler too,I want to upgrade to a perfomance filter K&N maybe.Should I go with one that fits into thestandard airbox, what is my options?

you can buy the K&N that wil fit your standard box. Mercedes already has a very efficient air intake design already from the factory.

Keep with the standard one unless you are looking for trouble!

K&N oil based air filters are known round the market in all cars to cause problems with the MAF Sensor.. I just replaced mine and your really only going to gain 1-2HP from going with K&N nothing noticable.
