<FONT color=red size=3>hey guys clk newbe loved the car ultimate chick mag just need help changing the oil i can't belive that i have to wait till 10000 for the first oil change i alos got a 2000 silver miata all fully synthetic oil when the dealer told me first oil change was at 7000 miles i just looked at him and said "what you crazy" he said it don't need it that was when it was dino oil not modil one syn.. i see where the filter is but need help with the drain plug any pic's would be great help my first so i want to make sure i do it right thanks for all your help....hiper</FONT></P>

Hey Hiper. MB doesn't want you to pull the drain plug to change the oil. They put the filter on top for that reason. They expect you to suck the oil out of the dipstick tube. There are several oil change pumps around. Griots has the nicest one for about a hundred dollars. Air operated. They also have a manual one for about $50. JC Whitney also has some too. As far as the oil change interval. MB holds more oil than most engines so the interval is much longer. Hope that helps
