We own a c class C220 elegance year 1997. Today we went to local dealer to check two tiny spots that seemed to be rust. To our surprise the car was inspected & they informed us it is rusting from sunroof.. doors... bonet etc...!!! The car is in mint condition with no accidents. Always garaged & pampered as a baby. It has done only 18,000 km!!!We are without words. They said its still under warranty & will fix this for us. Problem is that they have to dismantle all of it and re spray all the car!!! Have anyone experienced anything similar? And how it ended up? We will try to fight our way in to get a used car replacement or a cash refun on current value? In no way I would agree to strip the car and fix the rust problems. I am sure that it will rust again the remains of the body. And it only have another 1 year warranty on rust. Any help & suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
