Default Brown Slime in Radiator tank

Thanks in advance for your help, I have an 89 300 SE and in the top half of the radiator reservoir is brown slime, The bottom half and the rest of the cooling system is clean. Anyone know what that is?

Sleepwalker, This slime is just in the top part of the reservoir. The rest of the system in clean and green. Someone said that it comes from mixing differing anti freezes. What you think?

i often see this kind of slime, but didn't find out the cause.
