broblem with Mercedes GL 420 CDI
 

Hello I’m from Crete Greece Dear Sirs,


My name Mavrakis Spiros, and I live in Heraklion Crete Greece. I bought a Mercedes GL 420 CDI SUV the September of 2007 from the local dealer here in Heraklion “MOTORCAR SA”. The problems start from the beginning :

1. At 21-11-07 and 2090 km, problem with the left mirror ( couldn't open while unlocking the car).Replaced by the local dealer due to warranty.
2. At 10-01-08 and 6100 km, problem with the airmatic (couldn't lift the car)and the right seat of the third row of seats wouldn't open).Both replaced by the local dealer due to warranty.
3. At 15-01-08 and 6300km , problem with a broken gear-wheel at the differential.differential.Replaced and repaired by the local dealer due to warranty.
4. At 14-04-08 and 8500km, again problem with the airmatic.Replaced by the local dealer due to warranty.
5. At 12-05-08 and 8800km, same problem with the airmatic.Replaced the air compressor by the local dealer due to warranty.
6. At 08-10-08 and 12187km, replaced upper front wishbones by the local dealer due to warranty.
7. At 13-10-08 and 12680km, replaced wire at the brake system by the local dealer due to warranty.
8. At 08-01-09 and 15255km replaced lower front wishbones by the local dealer due to warranty, replaced front dampers both by the local dealer due to warranty.
9. With 16500km , replaced front axle of the differential by the local dealer due to warranty.
10. At 23-02-09 and 18750km, problem with again a broken gear-wheel at the differential. The car still remains at the dealer.

My opinion of the Mercedes brand is one of the best.

I bought a car which I consider the very best in it's category but unfortunately it must be defective due to constant and repeated problems since the day I bought it.
I must say that the dealer's support is very good and immediate. Did you suggest me a solution to my car's problems.
