Is there a way to reset the battery visit workshop warning on a '03 sl500 without going to the dealer? I had the starter battery out this morning (it's new) and when I reinstalled I am getting the warning. Thanks.

Why did you take the battery out? Was the light on before you removedthe battery?

If the warning light is on (Battery +/- graphic) then its likely your charging circuit is defective. Maybe you removedthe battery in order to charge it!

You will need to determine why the alternator is not charging the battery so someone will have to diagnose and change components as necessary.
