The ball and socket --your tool, your little secret?
I'm hoping I don't have to buy a one-purpose tool, but I will. Those 8mm-ish balls on rods have corresponding sockets that make up key connecting points on carburetor linkages for 356 Porsches, most Mercedes, etc. Splitting the socket from the ball is usually a haphazard and clumsy prying routine with a wide flat screwdriver. You all must have already found a better and less exasperating method to unstick the socket from its ball...I know you have. Can you share your secret? I apologize to all those who know the official name for the thing I'm calling the ball and socket. Thanks. Dave
