ASR/CRUISE CONTROL PROBLEM

Please can somebody out there explain to me the relationship between ASR light and Cruise control on E320 W124032 body and 104992 engine. my car picks fine and no hassles except that the ASR light is on permanently and only becomes dimmer after a short drive while the Cruise control has refuse to work since the ASR light came on. but the car drives pretty OK. Is there any Problem ahead?

RE: ASR/CRUISE CONTROL PROBLEM

ASR tells the cruise control, electronic accelerator, electronic speedometer and idle speed control about the speed of the car.

:) i know now you get the reason why.

if the ASR control unit shuts down.... those mentioned other systems are likely to be get affected.

many members are complaining about running complaints whenever the ASR mlfunction indicator lamp is "on". i just can't explain to them in details why... maybe you can help me. ;)
