Annoying oil leak
Hi everyone,
I have a 96 E320 that I needsome help with.I have a leakthat is coming from thebottom of the timingcover on the passanger side. From what I have read, it seems that this was a defective on these particular models.I've attempted twice already andI still have the leak. Is there a particular sealant that I should be using?Do you apply the sealant and install right away? Or do you let in sit fora specified amount of time then apply? I'm really fustrated that I can't seem to get it to stop. I've checked to make sure that the bottom seal (green in color) is not snagging or twisting. I've also checked the oil dipstick to make sure there is no water so that the problem is from the seal and not the head gasket.Cars runs great with no loss of power. Any suggestions/help, would be greatly appreciated.I also posted this same thread of E class forum. Thanks everyone.
