tip of trans. dip stick broke off while checking fluid, 1988 560 sel, ordered new one but either have to drain pan and retrieve broken piece or put magnet inside drain plug hole after fluid is drained...any other suggestions?

also "light out" is always on but all lights are working, however when door opens inside courtesy light blinks in time with engine..then it stops as if it never happened...sometimes putting on ead lights or vanity mirror lights also cause it to blink in time with engine????
