Alternative power source
 

I recently purchased an after market navigation system with a traffic receiver but you have to plug it into the cigarette lighter. Is there any other power source I could use maybe under the seat?

you need to buy a cigrette lighter divider, its a little devices costs a few dollers, you plug that in to your ciggrette lighter and than it provides 2 or 4 sources and you can have 4 things connected to your ciggrette lighter source..

Probably not. However you can connect to the cigarette lighter out of sight, within the console. There are adapters made for this very purpose. They're cheap.

i see this post is a bit old. but on my c230 i could not find another lighter outlet either.
tried to use the spillter, but that actually messed up my lighter, which won't work now.
did your's work? if so which adapter did you buy?
