air condition 260e
 

Hi all,I have just got a 89 260e in pretty good shape but have strange problems with ac unit I had it check'd at a ac shop and they said it was fully charged and in working order,but they didn't what to get into it.It works sometimes but usally not .First question when it is working correct dose it cool good or just so so.I am asking cause I never had one before.Now the odd stuff sometime the center vents work sometimes not ,sometimes the fans blows other times not,it blew once with the control off,but most always the fan blows ,the acworks ,then I shut the car off when I start it again ,it dose'nt work.Ive been reading on hear and tried the temp sendor thing but still no good .Thanks for any info.Al

go to a junk yard and get the climate control unit it is the wheel and push button unit above the radio two screws above the radip and the wood grain panel removes the remove CCU swap it out the same unit is used in later models did mine and all works great got it in a pick it yard in South San Diego county CA
