Hey People,

I'm new to the site. A few months ago I bought a 1988 300e, it runs fine but the abs light would come on and off while i drive and last week, after i left the car at the airport lot for a week the light on the dashboard came on and has stayed on. today the pavement was abit wet so i tested the abs and ofcourse it didn't work. I checked to see if anybody else had the same prob. and I saw a few with the probs with the light on the dashboard but not sure if their abs system was working or not. ALso not sure if my prob is with the relay or a fuse or the abs central and not sure where the relay or sensors are. Has anybody ever faced this prob or knows how to solve it??

Sorry i's a 1986 300 e not a 1988.

 

the problem can vary from brake switch to wheel speed sensor.

the best and easy way to find out without too much waste of time and effort is to read the fault code stored on memory.

 

i guess i'll have to go to the dealership for that, eh??

 

any place who can read the fault.
