Default 89 300 sel center vents not working. Please help!!!

Hi everyone! My 89 300 sel has a weird issue with heating and ac.It does not blow anyairthru the 2 center vents no matter what. Both side vents blow a littlebit.the passenger vent blows cold only even when set on heating.the defroster blows even if the system is set for heating or ac.it just looks like no air is getting to the center vents.Mechanics around here are eager to take it apart to see what is wrong but I love my car and have really bad experience with shops around here.1 thing is fixed but the other is broken, thats how my car looks like after every repair.Does anyone know whats wrong with my car?

my mechanic said it is the servo not pulling the door open. lots of labor involved. to do all the servos about 8 hours.
