86 MB 300E neutral safety and testing of the fuel dizzy
 

I can only start the car in neutral, its an auto tranny with the 3.0L straight six, where is the neutral switch and how hard is it to replace? Also is there a way to test the fuel distributor without expensive tools ?

neutral safety switch is on the left side of the transmission. 2 10mm nuts. fairly easy but a tight spot. good luck

Also, be sure to slide the plastic retainer on the switch so you can disconnect it from the linkage. Look at the new one to get an idea of which way it should slide.
