300sdl automatic transmission goes wild at 40-50mls at 1/2 trottle at 4 th gear
Hello,
i´m Lars from germany. please excuse my english. i hope it is to understand.
i own a 300SDL, made in 1986, 234.000mls, good colour of the transmission oil, enough oil on it, ... and have a problem at the 4. gear in the speedrange within 40 and 50 mls and RPM at 2.000 and 2500..
if i drive at 40mls with RPM at 2000 .... and accelerate with 1/2 trottle sometimes the RPM goes immediatly from 2.000 to 2.500 ... stay there until the speed come to 50mls and than the RPM and Speed are "connected" again and rise "hand in hand" without slipping.
the transmission seems to slip only in the range between 40 and 50mls at the 4th gear.
If i go on the highway with short highspeed, the transmission goes right without any slip in every range.
if i take it once with "kickdown" the transmission will work with the slip in the range 40-50mls.
if i force the trottle 3/4 the transmission goes in the 3rd gear and pass the range between 40-50mls and above without any slip.
has anybody a idea or knows about that problem ?
Kind regards
Lars
